Who this covers
Brown OS is a private productivity tool built and used only by its owner, Semisi Brown. It is not offered to the public, and no other person can sign in to it.
What data Brown OS accesses
With the owner's permission, Brown OS uses Google APIs to access the owner's own Google account data:
- Google Calendar events, to prepare daily schedule briefs.
- Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets files, to read and update the owner's notes, goals, and task lists.
- Basic profile information, to identify the signed in account.
How the data is used
Data is used only to provide features to the owner, such as morning briefs, evening summaries, and progress tracking. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with anyone other than the service providers needed to run the tool.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Brown OS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Storage and security
Access tokens are stored on a private server controlled by the owner. Data is processed by an AI model provider only to generate responses for the owner. Access can be revoked at any time from the Google Account permissions page.
